FSM Swimming Lands in Doha for the World Aquatics Championships



Doha, Qatar – February 11, 2024 – FSM Swimming has officially arrived in Doha, Qatar, for the swimming portion of the World Aquatics Championships, taking place from February 11 to 18, 2024. The team is set to compete at the world-renowned Aspire Dome, where 203 national federations are converging for this prestigious event.

Team FSM is comprised of seasoned athletes and promising talents, showcasing the Federated States of Micronesia's commitment to excellence in the realm of competitive swimming.


Leading the team roster is 30-year-old Tasi Limtiaco, FSM Olympian and the current Team Captain. Limtiaco, currently training at the Coronado Swim Club in California, brings a wealth of experience to the championships, marking his impressive 7th appearance at the global event.


FSM Olympian Taeyanna Adams, 21 years old and training at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, enters her 6th World Championships here in Doha. Kestra Kihleng, at the age of 20, trains at the Thanyapura Sports & Health Resort in Thailand, making her 5th appearance at the World Championships.


The youngest member of the team, 16-year-old Katerson Moya, trains at the Pohnpei Swimming Club in the FSM. Although this marks his World Championships debut, Moya entered the world of international swimming at the Junior World Championships in Netanya, Israel last year.


Accompanying these athletes are FSM Head Coach Derick Daniel, Assistant Coach Susan Kihleng, and FSMSA President Mae Bruton-Adams.
